Beulah M. Wiggins, 88, of Great Fork Road, Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Friday, June 28, 2024, at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was born on May 9, 1936 to the late Ernest Willie Wiggins and Alice Nell Jordan in Nansemond County, VA. In addition to her parents, Beulah was preceded in death by her loving siblings, Ernest, Roger, and Rosa Wiggins. Beulah was educated in the Nansemond Public School system, having attended Nansemond County Training School in the Holland section of the city. She was also a faithful and dedicated member of Palm Tree Baptist Church in Whaleyville, Virginia. Beulah tirelessly worked in the vineyard for the Lord, having served as a member of the church’s Deaconess board and diligently taking care of the shepherd of the church as a Pastor’s Aide and also a member of the Hospitality Committee. Beulah leaves to cherish her precious memories with her husband George Thomas Wiggins of Suffolk, Virginia. One sister, which she loved dearly, Frances Artis, that she called (sweet sweet) of Suffolk, Virginia. Three sons, Richard Artis (Sondra), Morris Artis (Gwen), Norris Artis (Shirley). And seven grandchildren, Treviyon, Teron, Joshua, Jeremiah, Tyler, Shirnora, Stephanie, and several great-grandchildren. Five sisters-in-laws, Jean Riddick, Sylvia Wiggins, Mary Wiggins, Dorothy Wiggins, and Sheryl Wiggins, a brother-in-law, Clifton Wiggins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A viewing will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024 from 4p.-7p. in the Melvin Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
