Beulah White Bailey, 80, of Suffolk, VA, transitioned Thursday, April 27, 2023 in Suffolk, Virginia at her residence. Mrs. Beulah W. Bailey was born on July 3, 1942 to the late Eddie White, Sr. and Carrie Knight White of (Nansemond County), Suffolk, Virginia. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Spencer R. Bailey, Jr. and her sisters, Louise W. Knight, Clara Kindred, Carrie Gereno, Dorothy Smith, Georgie Mae Cross, Addie White; two brothers, Eddie White, Jr. and Allen White; granddaughter, Jasmine Edwards, daughter-in-law, Stephanie Bailey; great niece, Detra R. Brown. Beulah joined Piney Grove Baptist Church at an early age, there she began ushering where she was on the board for 20 years. Beulah enjoyed cooking, sewing and doing crossword puzzles until her health began to fail. She loved her family with all her heart and would do anything she could for them. She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Bonnie A. Griffin and Donna T. Scott (Vernon Sr.) of Suffolk, VA; three sons, Gregory E. Bailey (Keisha) of Franklin, VA, Rufus L. Bailey (Tameko) of Churchland, VA, (Tony) Algenon Bailey (Redell) of Hampton, VA; sister, Archie W. Lyons (George) of Suffolk, VA; aunt, Annie Kindred of Suffolk,VA; sister-in-law, Shirley Bailey of Holland, VA; 15 grandchildren;12 great-grandchildren; three special nieces, Valeria Knight, Vera Blakeney and Ashley Blakeney; two adopted great-grandchildren, Omari and Kourtney Hilton; a special great nephew, Anfernee Blakeney; a host of nices,nephews and cousins; a special caretaker, Ms. Chetanah Tucker, a special thank to her trusted neighbors Sandra White, Trish White, Michelle Hollimon, Marion Briggs all whom she loved dearly. A special thanks to Gentiva Hospice Care for all your services you provided to our mother. A viewing will be held 1-7 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held noon, Friday, May 5, 2023 at Metropolitan Baptist Church. She will be laid to rest in Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
