Bertha Renell Gibson

Bertha Renell Gibson, 79, of Nero Drive, Portsmouth transitioned Friday, November 2, 2018 at Maryview Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Mary C. Brown and Marcellus Brown. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Gibson.She was a member of First Baptist Church South Hill.She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Neavrae (Patricia) Gibson, Patuxent River, MD and Bennaire (DeWitt) Gibson of Portsmouth, VA; brother, James Brown of Waterbury, CT; special friend, Linder Belifield; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.A wake will be held 6-7 p.m. Friday, November  9, 2018 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 at First Baptist Church South Hill, 3633 Galberry Road, Chesapeake, VA 23323. Rev.
