Beatrice Virginia Darden

Beatrice Virginia Darden, daughter of the late Mavis Gaskins, was born April 16, 1930 in Stafford County, VA, and entered into eternal rest and peace June 15, 2021 at the Hospice House and Support Care of Williamsburg, VA. She was the loving wife of Harry L. Darden, Sr. A devoted Christian, we thank God for the many years she was with us, and we will always cherish the fond memories of past experiences. She was called "Momma Bea" by many. Beatrice attended public schools in Baltimore, MD, (Dundar and Douglass), 3 years plus at Coppin State U, Baltimore School of Bible and worked 30 years at Headquarters of Social Security, Woodlawn, MD as a supervisor and finally retiring from the V.A. Hospital, Baltimore, MD in 2003. Attended Faith Tabernacle Church, Baltimore, MD. She leaves to cherish her memories, husband Harry L. Darden, Sr., five sons, Harry Darden, Jr. (Sandra) of Carrollton, VA, Larry Darden (Eugonda) of Suffolk, VA, Gregory Darden (Della) of Suffolk, Michael Darden of Atlanta, GA, Troy Darden (Frances) of Chesapeake; daughter, Pamela Copeland (Wayne) of Suffolk, VA; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held noon, Thursday, June 24, 2021 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
