He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted and loving wife, Karen Mills. He was a proud and caring father to Walter Farmer, Kimberly Farmer, and Brandon Farmer (Ashley). Barry was also a deeply loving grandfather to Trenton Connor, Treyce Connor, Aubree Farmer, Audrey Askew, Aria Askew, Bradley Farmer, Brenton Farmer, Brycin Farmer, Brayden Farmer, Braxton Farmer, two God daughters, Brooke Mills and Kaylah Ward, and a devoted niece Laquita Goodman all of whom brought him immense joy.

Barry dedicated 34 years of faithful service to Smithfield Packing, where he worked diligently until his retirement in June 2024. Never one to sit still, he continued working for nearly two years at Massimo Zanetti. His strong work ethic and commitment were admired by all who knew him.

A devoted member of New Gospel Temple COGIC, Barry was actively involved in the Adult Male Chorus, where he lifted his voice in praise. He also gave back to his community as a baseball coach in Whaleyville, mentoring and encouraging young athletes.

Barry was known as a dependable and skilled handyman--someone you could always count on. Whether it was lawn care, repairs, or simply lending a helping hand, he gave freely of his time and talents. He was also a die-hard Dallas Cowboy fan, proudly supporting his team through every season.

Barry's jokes, laughter, and sense of humor were truly unmatched. He had a way of bringing joy into every room he entered and could lift spirits with just a smile or a funny word. His presence was a gift to everyone who knew him.

Above all, Barry will be remembered for the deep love and passion he had for his wife, children, grandchildren, and entire family. His life touched many, and his impact will never be forgotten. The Whaleyville community will truly miss every piece of him.
