On Sunday night August 18, 2024 Barbara Ann Whitfield (better known as "Barbie") went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ in Obici Hospital, Suffolk Va. She was a resident of Suffolk, Va. and native of Southampton County, Va. She was the daughter of the late Lindwood Haskins and Louise Warren Haskins.
She leaves to cherish her memory two children, one son; Norman Whitfield (Angie) and a daughter Barbara L. Whitfield, one sister; Catherine Wiggins, two stepson's; Clinton Whitfield and Thomas Whitfield, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She retired from Obici Hospital where she served over 20 years of service.
A viewing will be held 2p.m.-6p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in the Melvin Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024 1:00p.m., in the Melvin Blowe Chape of Crocker Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
