Barbara Ann Frier, 70, of Woodland Trail, Suffolk, Virginia transitioned Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Dora Worrell and Walter Evans. Barbara was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and attended Saint Paul College. She retired as a Veterans Claims Agent and was a member of First Baptist Church Mahan. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Randolph Frier, of Suffolk, VA; three sons, Eddie Holland (Shannon) of Dallas, GA, Marvin Elam of Burlington, NJ, and Marcus Elam of Suffolk, VA; sister, Virgie Sandifer of Suffolk, VA; eight grandchildren, Lederer Holland, Kishera Holland, Eddie Holland, Jr., Dillon Holland, Marilyn Mila-Nicole Elam, Marvin Cordell Elam, Devin Rossin, and Haley Rossin-Elam; one great-grandchild, Darryl Pasqual; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A wake will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2019 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
