With heartfelt remembrance, we celebrate the life of Azurea C. White, who gracefully journeyed through 84 remarkable years before transitioning peacefully on July 29, 2025, in Hampton, Virginia. A cherished resident of Elberon, Virginia, Azurea's spirit touched many lives, and her warmth will forever linger in the hearts of those who knew her.
A TIME TO LIVE
Azurea Carl Robinson White, a native of Surry County, VA, was born on March 1, 1941 to the late Elder James E. Robinson and Corine W. Robinson of Chuckatuck, VA. Azurea was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and faithful friend.
A TIME TO SERVICE
Azurea was a faithful member, secretary, treasurer, and program coordinator at Mt. Calvary The Holy Church of God in Smithfield, VA. She retired from Suffolk Public Schools after 32 years of dedicated service as a Teacher. She was the backbone of the family and a faithful servant of the Lord.
A TIME TO REST
Azurea R. White, 84, of Golden Hill Road in Elberon, VA for 53 years. She was living with her daughter in Hampton, VA when she transitioned and received her Crown of Life.
A TIME TO MOURN
Azurea leaves to reflect and cherish her memories— two Devoted Daughters: Comarth Saunders of Hampton, VA and Corine W. Simmons (Ronald) of Bronx, NY; Brothers: James Robinson (Cecilia) and Omega Robinson (Linda) of Suffolk, VA, and Timothy Robinson (Willa) of Newport News, VA; Sister: Luefras Robinson of Fredericksburg, VA; Sisters-in-Law: Argidene Crawley of Hampton, VA, Lillian Wilkes of Columbus, GA, Betty Whitmore and Sarah White of Glen Allen, VA; Goddaughter and family: Lorrain, Wilmon Jr., Lauren, Andrew and Wilmon Lee IV of Winterville, NC; Grandchildren: Janell Brown (Chris) of Suffolk, VA, Charles K. Johnson, Jr.(Shaunice) of Newport News, VA, Conesia Saunders and Jonathan Saunders, Jr. of Hampton, VA, Robert White and Charlise White of Bronx, NY; Great-grandchildren: Ka’liyah, Caleb, Kiara, Christopher, Khori, Greyson, Elijah, and Khali; Caretaker and friend: Ruth “Big Sister” Moyler of Newport News, VA; and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends all that knew and loved her. Predeceased: Husband, Robert Lee White and Sister, Eunice Wells.
A public viewing will be held 3-7pm, Friday, August 8, 2025 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 11am, Saturday, August 9, 2025 at New Bethany Christian United Church of Christ. Her remains will be laid to rest at the Christian Home Baptist Church Cemetery.
