Anita A. Powell

On Sunday, May 3, 2026, Anita A. Powell died at Norfolk General Hospital. She was a native of Suffolk and the daughter of the late Willie E. & Frances L. Powell. She was also predeceased by her baby girl Cierra Labrea Powell.

“Nita” leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Vontricia S. Powell and son, Coty R. Powell and her grandson, Joshua Deloatch. Her five sisters, Sharon E. Powell, Brenda L. Powell, Patricia P. Elliott, Barbara A. Williams, and Pamela P. Robinson ( Johnnie) and one brother, Willie E. Powell Jr; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. We, her family, loved her dearly, but God loved her best.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2026 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. The family has entrusted Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. with professional services rendered with dignity, compassion, and care.
