Angelia Branch, 64, of Hollywood Ave., Suffolk, Va. transitioned Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at MCV Hospital in Richmond. A true native of Suffolk, Angelia was the daughter of Fletcher Pugh Jr. and the late Shirley W. Pugh. She was preceded in death by her two sisters Brenda Pugh Gatling and Cynthia Pugh White, and her Uncle David Green.
Angelia was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, class of 1976. She furthered educated herself at Norfolk State University. She worked at Sentara Nursing Home in Portsmouth and at Autumn Care. She was a member of Rising St. James where she served on the usher board and sang in the choir.
Angelia leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Leverne Branch, three children; Lashawn Pugh, Yovonda Pugh(Brian), LaTasha Ralph(Jamar), three grandchildren, Jabari Sessoms, Jahshawn Miles, Brian Miles Jr., one brother, Fletcher Pugh III, one nephew; Lamont Pugh(Lashaunta); one brother-in-law Andrew Branch,; two uncles; Leon Green Jr.(Yvonne), Edward F. Green(Eunice), two aunts; Dorothy Woodley and Olivia Pugh, a host of cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2024 at Union Baptist Missionary Church. She will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
