Angela Ruth Coppedge Santiago, 52, went to be with our Lord and Savior on July 14, 2026.
She was born on September 17, 1973, in Hampton, VA, to George and Audrey (Saunders) Coppedge.
She graduated from Hampton High School in 1991, where she was the ‘original lady crabber.” Angela attended Radford University, where she graduated with a B.S in Criminal Justice in 1996.
Her special interests included Sports, Music, Old School Sports Cars, and Prince!
Angela was a Pretrial Investigator for the City of Hampton for many years before transferring to the City of Newport News. Most recently, she was an Operations manager for Walmart Distribution Center, before becoming an Independent Contractor for Naval Medical Center Portsmouth.
One important influence in her life was God and the Church. As a child, Angela attended the Garden of Prayer under her Grandmother, the late Pastor Georgia Coppedge, where she sang in the choir.
Angela loved. And to know her was to love her. She loved current events, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and one of her favorite pastimes was watching sports with her father.
God blessed Angela with a beautiful daughter, Ciana Monae Bibbs, with whom she shared a special bond. She always supported Ciana’s dreams, including her music and acting career. She was her biggest fan.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved daughter Ciana Monae Bibbs; Parents George and Audrey (Saunders) Coppedge; Aunts - Carrie S. Chavers Wiggins-Faulk (Harold), Katheryn S. Starks (Robert), Great Aunt Elizabeth Ash; Sisters - Rita Coppedge, Vernessa Simmons (Thomas), Erica Daniel; Brothers: Bryan Coppedge, George Coppedge, and Ricky Daniel. Her best friend, Angel Sharp, her brother-cousin Daeman Odom, a host of nieces and nephews, ex-husband, Antoine Santiago, and loving family and friends.
She is cherished and will truly be missed.
