Andrew L. Pruitt, III

August 19, 1989 — April 28, 2020

Andrew L. Pruitt, III, 30, of Suffolk, VA passed away suddenly on April 28, 2020. His family is shocked and deeply saddened by his loss. Andrew was born on August 19, 1989 in San Diego, California, to Andrew L. Pruitt and Denice L. Joyner. He definitely was a California Raisin with his sunny disposition, contagious laugh and ever joyous smile. If you ever wanted a joke, he had one, if you ever wanted a hug, his arms were wide open, if you ever wanted to hear spontaneous spoken words with amazing rhythm, well then, he would give you poem after poem. The truth is he could go on for hours. When it comes to Drew, loyalty is the first thing you think of, along with unconditional love and family trait of stubbornness. What a sweet soul that this world was not too king to. Now Drew has his wings and is at peace. Doing what he loved doing the best, reciting harmonious poetry and giving arrays of comical enjoyment. Andrew is survived by his loving parents, Andrew L. Pruitt of Texas and Denice L. Joyner of Virginia; sister, Rashem Carter of New Jersey; uncles, Dennis Carter, Bryon Parson, of Virginia, Simone and Roger Pruitt of Texas; his nephew, Zaire Carter and heaps of cousins. A viewing will be held 1-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2020 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
