Alphonsa Saunders entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Southampton Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 19, 1924, to the late Thomas Eddie and Mary Lizzie Saunders.
A viewing will be held 2-7 p.m. Friday, December 26, 2025, in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 6100 Holy Neck Road, Suffolk, Virginia 23437. He will be laid to rest in Southview Memorial Cemetery, Franklin, Virginia. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
