Alice Odessa Johnson

Alice Odessa Johnson, 76, of E. Washington Street, Suffolk transitioned Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Viola J. Johnson and Joseph T. Johnson. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Vernelia Everett and brother Roy Harvey Johnson. She was a graduate of East Suffolk High School and worked for the Western Tidewater Community Service Board for fifteen years which she retired in 2001. Alice was a firm believer in Christ. She leaves to cherish her memory three sisters, Lillian Wright and Maureen Johnson both of Chesapeake and Maxine Collins of Virginia Beach, VA; six brothers, Joseph T. Johnson (Joyce) of Portsmouth, VA, Alvin Johnson (Shelia) of Milford Mill, MD, Roland T. Johnson of Chesapeake, VA, Reginald Johnson (Denise) of Fort Washington, MD, Charles Johnson (Paulette) of Suffolk, and Felondo Johnson of Accokeek, MD; beloved aunt, Dorthy Jackson; beloved uncle, Charles Jones; beloved cousin, Madeline Stokes, and Devoted Friend, Jeffrey Whitley; a host of other relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 3, 2019 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. Rev. Carlton Everett will deliver the message of comfort.
