Alexander Holliman, Sr.

May 10, 1933 — February 6, 2018

Alexander Holliman, Sr., 84, of Briggs Way, Windsor, Virginia transitioned Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Consulate Healthcare of Windsor. He is the son of the late Carphine Holliman and James Trueheart Holliman. Alexander was a faithful member of Piney Grove Baptist Church where he was in the Senior Choir and Male Chorus. He was the manager and singer with the Harmoneers of Windsor which consist of his three sons and first spiritual cousin. He retired from VDOT in 1995 after 38 years of dedicated service. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of sixty three years of holy matrimony, Curlie Bell Holliman, of Windsor; daughter, Anita Ann Holliman of Franklin; three sons, Alexander Holliman, Jr. (Deborah), Chester Lee Holliman (Linda) and Michael Worrell Holliman all of Virginia Beach; sister, Georgia Warren of Smithfield; brother, Bennie Holliman of Windsor; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; a brother-in-law; one sister-in-law and a host of other relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 4901 Deer Path Road, Suffolk. He will be laid to rest in Georgia Tyler Cemetery.
