Alan Tolson Wilson

Alan Tolson Wilson, 58, of Dinwiddie Street, Portsmouth, Virginia transitioned Wednesday, April 10, 2019 in Richmond, Virginia. He was the son of the late Mayden Carter, George Tolson, Sr.and his adoptive parents, Janette Wilson and Edward Wilson, Sr. Alan was an Army Veteran, Desert Shield Veteran, and Air Force Reserve Veteran and his received an honorable discharge. He received his B.S. in Architecture/Interior Design from Hampton University where he received multiple art awards and penmanship awards. He was a self employed contractor.  He leaves to cherish his memory his former wife, Pamela B. Wilson of Suffolk; five daughters, Joy Wilson, Leah Wilson, Sarah Wilson, Rachel Wilson all of Suffolk, Virginia, and Rashida Bullard of Riverdale, Georgia; two brothers, George Tolson, Jr of West Virginia and Edward Wilson, Jr. of Delaware; three grandchildren, Jordy Sharpe, Julian Wilson and Rhyan. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.. Saturday, April 27, 2019 at St. Mark Episcopal Church, 142 Tynes Street, Suffolk, Virginia. Father Joseph Green will officiate.
