Abraham "Ham" Mitchell, 95, also known as "Mr. CIAA" transitioned Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Sentara Obici Hospital. A viewing will be held 4-7 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2025 at Metropolitan Baptist Church. A celebration of life will be held noon, Saturday, January 18, 2025 at New Tabernacle, 2500 E. Washington Street, Suffolk, Virginia 23434. He will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive guest daily 12-8 p.m. at 127 Highfield Road, Suffolk, Virginia 23434. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
