Clara Armesia Reid

Clara A. Reid, 84, of Pembroke Avenue, Norfolk transitioned Friday, January 26, 2018 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Rebecca Skeeter Reid and Admon Reid. She was a graduate of St. Paul’s Polytechnic Institute and George Washington University where she received her B.S in Elementary Education and Master of Arts in Education. She also received numerous certificates as a Reading Specialist. She retired in 1977 from D.C. Public Schools. She is survived by her sister, Vivian Jubray of Suffolk; brother, Fulcher Reid (Ina) of Chesapeake; loving God-daughter, DaShea Collins; devoted niece, Veronica Jubray and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A celebration of life will be held noon, February 3, 2018 at Mt. Ararat Christian Church, 1860 Airport Road, Suffolk. Rev. Dr. H.H. Murrill will deliver the eulogy. She will be entombed in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
