Calvin Lee Joyner

Calvin Lee Joyner, 53, of Brooke Ave, received his call into glory, January 17, 2018 at Sentara Norfolk General Heart Hospital.He was born in Nansemond County to the late Garfield Jr. and Muriel Chambliss Joyner on May 26, 1964 . He attended and graduated June 1982 from John F. Kennedy High School. He worked for 10 years at Smithfield Packing Company until his illness.Calvin was preceded in death by his mother and father Garfield Jr. and Muriel; two brothers, Garfield Joyner III and Tyrone Joyner.He leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Luther Joyner of Suffolk, VA; four sisters, Muriel Joyner Willis (Thomas) of Atlanta, GA, Jeanette Hawkins (Alphonso), Adrienne Scott (Tony) and Sade Joyner all of Suffolk, Virginia; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.A celebration of life will be held noon, Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at St. Paul Church.
