On Wednesday, December 27, 2017 Maggie Sue Turner transitioned into eternal rest at the home of her daughter.Maggie Sue was retired after 40 plus years from Mr. & Mrs. Sydney Cobb in Windsor as well as others in the Windsor area. She also retired from Isle of Wight County Public Schools, where she was the cafeteria manager.She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore Turner and daughter Margaret I. Stokes. She leaves to cherish in her loving memory her daughter, Elaine Holliman; four sisters, Mary A. Jones (William), Dorothy A. McClinton (Roger), Marie Harper and Yvonne Harris Johnson; brother, Joseph H. Harris, Jr; four grandchildren, Tinika Stokes-Council, Jean Warren (Sam Warren, III), Chelsea Holliman and Frankie Holliman (Jewel); seven great-grandchildren, Jamie Stokes, Ashley Stokes, Taylor-Raye Council, Jacob Council, Laila Holliman, Brielle Holliman, and Jerrell Holliman; sister-in-law, Ethel Hunt; brother-in-law, George Turner; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.The family will start to line up at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018 3 Watch Water Close, Portsmouth, VA 23703. The celebration of life will be held noon Thursday, January 4, 2018 at New Branch Baptist Church, Ivor, Virginia. She will be laid to rest in Chapel Grove U.C.C., Windsor, Virginia.
