Mary Walston

Mary A. Walston, 83, of Whaleyville, Blvd transitioned Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Carthene Faulk and James T. Faulk. She was preceded in death by her husband Syvalius Walston, daughters, Josephine Dash and Alice R. Jones, son, Peter Earl Dash; three sisters, Ethel Faulk, Elaine White and Lolita F. Nelson; seven brothers, Richard A. Faulk, Sr., James Thomas Faulk, Junious L. Faulk, Leroy Faulk, John Frank Folk, Earl L. Faulk and Herbert Faulk. Mary Retired as a Beautician after many years, she was a member of Mt. Ararat Christian Church where she served on the Deaconess Ministry, Usher Ministry and Women Fellowship Ministry. She was a part of Master Gardener Club, East Suffolk Recreation and East Suffolk, Alumni. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Linda Holst (Tom) of St. Petersburg, FL; two sons, James Dash, Jr. (Mattie) of Atlanta, GA and Eugene Dash, Sr. Philadelphia, PA; sisters, Odelia Hortillosa, Louvenia White, Selena Copeland and Elsie Milteer; two sisters-in-law, Doris L. Folk and Thelma D. Faulk; step brothers, Eugene Milteer (Doretha) and Curtis Milteer (Sarah) of Suffolk, VA; grandchildren, Tori King-Cofer (Anthony), Troy King, Nisha Dash and Kai Boswell-Dash. Tiffany Dash, Chris Dash, Courtney Dash, Latoy Jones, Mack Dash, Nicole Critton, Gene Banks, Kevin Dash, Anthony Jones and Henry James, Jr; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; special son-in-law, Henry James, Sr. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Monday, December 18, 2017 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. Rev. Dr. H.H. Murrill will deliver the eulogy.
