Alene Boothe, 99, transitioned Thursday,November 16, 2017 at Sentara Obici Hospital. Alene Boothe, widow of Herbert Boothe and daughter of late Oscar and Della Williams. She was a long time member of Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church, Corapeake, N.C and the eldest member of Zion Tabernacle.She is survived by her son Thomas Boothe and daughters Princess Boothe and Margie Gripper; only sister, Lucinda Norgrove.A wake will be held from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2017. A celebration of life will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 22. 2017 at Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church. She will be laid to rest in Benton Cemetery, Corapeake, N.C.
