Isiah Artis

Isiah Artis transitioned November 13, 2017 in his residence.  He was a native of Nansemond County, Suffolk, VA and the son of the late Louise Parker and Ethel Little. He received his education at the East Suffolk High School. Upon finishing Isiah became employed with Smithfield Packing. He retired after 20 years. He was a member of St. Mary’s COGIC under the leadership of Dr. Dwight Nixon. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Mever Cotton; son, Porvanzo “Doral” Artis; niece, Crystal Mayes; granddaughter, Tamia Cotton; special friend Marline Holliman; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 20, 2017 at St. Marys COGIC. He will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
