Sheila Williams, 65, of White Marsh Road, Suffolk, VA transitioned to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, VA. A native of Suffolk, Shelia was born to the late William and Lucy Wiggins and raised by her mother, the late Eunice Wiggins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Thomas.She graduated from John F. Kennedy High School and attended Brookdale Community College, Tinton Fall, NJ. She dedicated her life to the education of children, choosing employment at Suffolk Public Schools, East End Baptist Day Care and Metropolitan Church Day Care before opening Kid Kadoodle for 19 years before retiring in 2014. She was a member of Canaan Baptist Church where she taught the 5th Bible class (children), was the President of the Deaconess Ministry, and was a member of JE Arrington Choir, Mass Choir, Women's Ministry and Discipleship Ministry. In addition, she was a former member of the Choir of Joy Community Choir.She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and dedicated husband of 45 years, Frank Williams, Jr.; three children, De'Shon Wiliams (Curetta), Lucy Williams, and Marquita Williams; five grandchildren; a loving sister, Barbara Gates (Lester); aunts, Catherine P. Vick, Mary Drew, and Pauline Gwaltney, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.A wake will be held of Friday, November 17, 2017, 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Canaan Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Vernon W. Hairston, Sr. She will be entombed at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
