Gloria Jean Whitfield

 Gloria H. Whitfield of 118 Burnetts Court, Suffolk, VA transitioned Monday, October 09, 2017 at her residence. She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Clifton Goodman and Addie Lee Hinton. She was the wife of the late Robert Lee Whitfield. She was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. Gloria retired from Smithfield Packing Company after twenty-five years. She was a member of Greater First Baptist Church Orlando where she was a trustee. She leaves to cherish her memory  two daughters, Dominique Parker and Robin Wilkins; three sons, Darryl Knight, Edward Whitfield and Ceveon Branch; fifteen  grandchildren, Ryshon, Ariya, Ty’Shon, Jaceyon, Janiya, Edward Jr., Shalon, Delante Saunders, Sacorya  Leggette, Samyah Leggette, Sincere Harvey, Serenity Thorne, Darryl Knight, Amir Knight and Lamon Knight; three great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Greater First Baptist Church Orlando. Interment will be in Albert G. Horton Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
