Zelna H. Parson, Jr., 69, of 1209 Berrymans Corner Road, Ivor, VA transitioned Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA. He was a native of Virginia and the son of the late Zelna H. Parson, Sr. and Vivian Tyler Parson.He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mary E. Parson; daughters, Wanda P. Faltz (Lorne) of Newport News, VA, Pamela P. Cross of Carrollton, VA, Scherrell P. Langhorne (Pernell) of Newport News, VA and Katrina P. Tate (Russell) of Colonial Beach, VA; grandchildren, LaVonda C. Faltz, Dametria L. Faltz, Pernell Langhorne, III, Christina A. Cross, Ciara V. Cross, Jordan I. Cross, Bryce D. Langhorne; five sisters; three brothers; son-in-law, Irving K. Cross of Carrollton, VA; seven sisters-in-law; eight brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.A funeral will be held 11 a.ml. Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 38070 Rocky Hock Road, Wakefield, VA officiated by Pastor Leslie Holloway. Interment will be in Cypress Church Cemetery. A visistation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2017 at Cypress Baptist Church, 849 Runnymede Road, Elberon, VA, Rev. Dr. Millard Boone, III is pastor.
