Ida Bell Chapman

Ida Chapman, 89, of Suffolk, VA returned to her heavenly home on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. She was born in Nashville, NC to Mary Lou Gary and Ked Finch. She was predeceased in death by her husband James Chapman and daughter Marion DardenShe was a member of Faith Temple Ministries. She leaves behind to cherish her memory four daughters; Alice Mitchell of Suffolk, VA, Luetta Johnson (Charles Sr.) of Suffolk, VA, Rosa Silver (Wardell) of Suffolk, VA and Loretta Simmons of Portsmouth, VA; two sons, Hurley Chapman of Newport News, and Henry Chapman (Darlene) of Suffolk, VA; 22 grandchildren, 78 great grandchildren, 28 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A celebration of life will be held noon, Monday, September 18, 2017 at Faith Temple Church, Wellons Street, Suffolk, VA.
