Carlise Elizabeth Gordon

Gordon, Carlise Elizabeth, 89, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 24, 2017 while residing in her home.  She was predeceased by father and mother MC and Lillie Artis Blizzard, her loving husband Marion Gordon, her best friend and sister Elsie Riddick a niece (Lillian) and nephew (Glenn Jr.). She is survived by her loving brother Glenn Blizzard, Sr., two nieces Gwen (Rollon) and Beverly, five nephews John Jr., Michael, Abbott, Charles, Adrian (Melinda) and a host of great nieces, nephews, and cousins. Carlise was born on August 2, 1927 in Hertford County N.C.   She was the middle child of three children.  She graduated from Elizabeth City State Teacher College in Elizabeth City, NC. Carlise loved her family and was the backbone behind the Blizzard’s family reunions.   She will be always remembered as a loving sister, aunt, and friend to many whose greatest passion was spending time with her family and friends.    A celebration of her life will be held noon at Healing Chapel Baptist Church, 2375 Godwin Blvd. Suffolk, Va. on July 31, 2017 @ 1:00 PM.  Interment at Carver Cemetery.  The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all for their outpouring love.   To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Carlise Elizabeth Gordon, please visit our flower store.
