Cleophalis Lynch, 74 of Ahoy Drive, Chesapeake, died Friday, June 2, 2017, at Sentara Hospice House in Virginia Beach.
He was a native of Enfield, N.C., and the son of William and Mamie Solomon Lynch. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Louis Lynch, Earl Lynch, Willie Prack Lynch and Forrest Lynch.
He retired as a supervisor from U.S. Gypsum.He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Rosa E. Lynch; one daughter, Valerie Lee-Block (Robert) of Layton, Utah; one son, James F. Lee Jr. of Chesapeake; two sisters, Arlether Cain (Larry) and Ada Lynch, both of Accokeek, Md.; four grandchildren; five sisters-in-law, Annie Reid, Susie Horton, Georgia Lynch and Joan Burchanan; two brothers-in-law, James Everett and Ned Everett; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Little Mt. Zion Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Horace Bazemore. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Chesapeake. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
