Susan E. Saunders

Susan Ellen Saunders, 98, formerly of Baker Street transitioned Friday, June 2, 2017 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation-Nansemond Pointe. She was the daughter of the late Susan Arrington Powell and George Ennis Powell. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Linwood Saunders and all of her siblings.She retired from being a Seamstress and was a former member of New First Baptist Church, Hosier Road.She leaves to cherish her memory her stepchildren and step grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2017 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
