Riphatha “Bay” Coles of 2000 Belleharbour Circle, Suffolk, VA transitioned Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, Virginia. He was a native of Brooklyn, New York and the son of Lynn Bryant and Elizabeth D. Skinner. He retired as a butcher at Smithfield Packing Company. He was a member of Greater Sweet Beulah Holiness Church. Mr. Coles leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Debra Coles; six daughters, Elizabeth Terell Coles-Gause of Brooklyn, New York, Ne’Kesha Baiton (Larry), Tonia Blizzard (Mike) both of Suffolk, Vangelia Beamon (Rob), Angelia Parker, Antionette Beamon both of Chesapeake, VA; fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two sisters, Sheila Chase (Jeffery) and Stephanie Harden (Derrick) both of Suffolk; six brothers, Preston Simpson (Dottylin) of Middletown, NY, George Babb (Cherice) of Clarksville, TN, Ronnie Harris of Reading, PA, William Harris, Jr., Kenneth Brown and Casey Davis (Camille) all of Suffolk; stepfather, Ocie Lee Skinner of Suffolk; uncle, Wallace Coles (Lillian); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.A celebration of life will be held noon Tuesday, May 30, 2017 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
