Sandra Elaine Beamon

Sandra Elaine Beamon departed this life Sunday, May 14, 2017. She was born January 8, 1955 to Shepard O. Beamon, Sr. and Minnie B. Newby-Beamon in Suffolk, Virginia. She was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, class of 1973. She attended Tidewater Community College. Sandra was a dedicated associate of 25 years for Wal-Mart, where she served as a customer service manager. She loved reading, traveling, cooking, music, and most of all, family and friends. She was a loving spirit with a generous heart. Sandra had strong faith and was a life-long member of Little Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Shepard I. Beamon;  sister, Elizabeth "Liz" Brown;  and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Sandra was a compassionate individual, loved life, and will be missed dearly. A homegoing service will be held at Little Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 3288 Pruden Blvd in Suffolk, VA at 12:00 pm Thursday, May 18th. Interment will be in Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery. The viewing will be at Crocker Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 17th.
