Richard Roy Willis, Sr.

Richard Willis,77, of 6804 Crittenden Road, Suffolk, VA transitioned Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was the son of the late Arthur Willis and Roberta Willis-Tillery. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by five sisters, Viola Willis, Anna Willis, Geraldine Willis, Beatrice Willis and Berta Wilson; four brothers, Amos Tillery, Henry Willis, Tommy Tillery and James Willis.Richard was a Deacon and member of Bibleway Evangelistic Tabernacle Holiness Church.He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Shirley Willis; eight daughters, Cynthia Elam (Calvin), Pearline Bagley (Reginald), Latisha Willis, Lynn Brown (Hugh), Angela Willis, Tynisha Willis, Kiona Willis and Renita Willis; four sons, Richard Roy Willis, Jr., Ronnie S. Willis (Daria), Clinton J. Willis (Fonee) and Wendell Willis; sister, Eunice Willis; 50 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.A celebration of life will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017 at New Paul's Temple Holiness Church, 720 Hosier Road. Bishop Wilbur H. Mann, Sr. will deliver the eulogy. He will be laid to rest in Meadowbrooke Memorial Gardens. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
