Betty Ann Futrell

Betty Ann Futrell of the 3800 block of Nansemond Parkway, Suffolk, VA transitioned Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at her residence. She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Timothy Everett and Rosa Sabb.She was a member of St. Mary's COGIC where she was on the Mothers' Board.She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Tamra Mabrey (Donald), Myra Childs (Michael, Sr.) both of Suffolk and Karen Cooper (Ronnie) of Richmond, VA; two sons, Alton Futrell, Jr. (Qunaina) of Portsmouth, VA and Dionte Futrell (Frances) of Suffolk, VA; four sisters, Cora Williams, Joyce Flythe (Harvey) of Chesapeake, VA and Myra Palin (Earnest) of Gloucester, VA; one brother, Walter Williams of Columbus, GA; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.A celebration of life will be held 12:00 noon, Saturday, April 1, 2017 at St. Mary's COGIC, 3637 Nansemond Pkwy, Suffolk officiated by Pastor Dwight Nixon. She will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
