Alice Mullen transitioned Friday, March 10, 2017 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Suffolk, VA and the daughter of the late Willie and Leola Mullen, Sr. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Willie Mae Thomas and Alice Wilson; one brother, Willie Mullen, Jr.
She retired from Glendale Senior Citizens Home after 15 years of service. She was a member of Word For Living Gospel Fellowship Center.
She leaves to cherish her memory her fiancé, Joel Ricks of Suffolk; two sons, Lorenzo Mullen of Fort Worth, TX and Daron Mullen of Suffolk; two sisters, Geraldine Anderson and Carol Joe (John Jr.) both of Suffolk; two brothers, Ronald Mullen of Greensville, VA and Terry Mullen of Philadelphia, PA; two grandchildren, Reggie Mann and Kani Mullins; six nieces, six nephews, fifteen great nieces and nephews, five great great nieces and nephews; one aunt, Elizabeth Scott of Baltimore, MD; devoted cousin, Mary Frances Beamon; other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held 12:00 noon Saturday, March 18, 2017 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. She will be laid to rest in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
