Sarah A. Boone

Sarah A. Boone, 89 gained her wings on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Nansemond Pointe Rehabilitation Center. She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Mary Boone and Willie Woods. She was preceded in death by her sons, Jimmy Lee Boone, William Darnell Boone and Earl “Juicey” Boone. She was a licensed beautician and retired from the Suffolk Public Schools. She joined Holland Mission United Church of Christ where she attended Sunday School, sung in the choir, and attended church faithfully until her health began to fail. She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Jerome Boone; one nephew whom she raised as her son, George Taylor; a devoted niece, Cherry Lewis; grandchildren and great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Linda Boone; and a host of other relatives and friends.A celebration of life will be held 12:00 noon Monday, March 6, 2017 at Holland Mission U.C.C. 221 Dutch Road, Suffolk, VA.
