Addie Goodman

Addie Lee Jones Goodman, beloved mother, grandma, sister and auntie, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, February 10, 2017.  She was predeceased by her parents William Henry Jones, Sr. and Mattie Lee Copeland Jones, sister Laura Lee Green and brother William Henry Jones, Jr., all of Suffolk, Virginia.  She leaves behind to cherish her memory her life partner Charles Henry Allmond, Sr.; her 3 children – Charlene Holloway (Aaron) of Suffolk, Bobby Goodman, Jr. of Northern Virginia, and Mattie Vodery (Rodney) of Delaware.  In addition to her children, Addie J. Goodman, was Blessed with a loving family; one sister – Deborah London (Keith) of Hampton, VA; one brother – Ronnie Jones (Nancy) of Orlando, FL; sister-in-law Georgia Jones; six grandchildren Jonathan Holloway, Kirsten Goodman, Kourtney Goodman, Justin Holloway, Rhyon Vodery and Randon Vodery; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Family was very important to her, especially her children and beloved grandchildren.  She always made sure they felt loved, protected and well cared for. Addie was a retiree of General Electric (20 years) and QVC (18 years).  She was a former member of Healing Chapel Baptist Church, where she served for many years in the Senior Choir and on the Usher Board.  The family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be sent to the American Heart Association in honor of Addie J. Goodman.  The viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 6 – 7 pm at Crocker Funeral Home, Suffolk, VA. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 1pm at Christian Home Baptist Church.  Professional arrangements are entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.  The entombment will take place at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
