Johnnie A. Edmond

Johnnie A. Edmond was born June 30, 1945, in Norfolk, Virginia. He transitioned December 30, 2016 at his residence of 27 years in Colorado Springs, CO. Johnnie was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. He was preceded in death by his parents Ruth E. and Willie H. Hoyt and one sister Sharon H. Coleman. He left many who love and will miss him dearly. He leaves his wife Shirley Edmond, daughter Kristi Edmond, son Jonathan Edmond, two sisters, Lillier (Norman) Ellis, Ruby "Candy Overton; brothers, Lonnie Hoyt and Khalid Ibrahim. Also three stepchildren and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. We will celebrate Johnnie's life knowing that he is now in the arms of Jesus Christ his Lord and Saviour. He was a Vietnam Vet who retired after serving 26 years in the United Sates Air Force at the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. We are proud of Johnnie.A celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
