Angela Lynette Elam

On Tuesday, November 22, 2016, God beckoned our loved one, Angela Lynette Elam, home. Angela was the daughter of the late Mary Francis Eason and the late Bishop Fred Scott, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Jackson.She graduated from John Yeates High School and earned her Nurses Aide Certification from The Pruden Center.Angela was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and faithful friend to all. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 23 years, Ernest Elam; three daughters, Marvette Riddick (Toria), Monique Cooper (Corey), Mya Elam; her stepmothers, Rev. Dr. Maurice R. Scott and her stepfather, Willie Eason, Jr; four sisters, Martha Parker (Alvin), Sherry Rowe, Melanie Copeland, Felicia Carroll; five brothers, Michael Williams (Sandra), Fred Scott, Jr. (Anita), Shelley Scott, Robert Scott (Rosalind), Daniel Eason; three grandchildren; a special cousin, Claudia McMillian; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held 1:30 pm. Monday, November 28, 2016 at Tabernacle Baptist Outreach Center, Nansemond Pkwy officiated by Elder Trevon Boone. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
