MarQuail Lamar Manley, 24, of Newport News, VA transitioned Thursday, November 17, 2016. He a native of Suffolk and the son of Della Manley, Gloria Artis, Charles Cherry, the late Rodney Drayton and stepfather Demetrius Hall. He was a graduate of Menchville High School and was a Stocking Distribution Clerk at Wal-Mart. He was a member of Grace and Truth Fellowship Church. He leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Della E. Manley, Gloria Artis, Charles Cherry and his stepfather Demetrius Hall; three daughters, Mazariona Manley, Milan Manley and Kamilah Manley all of Newport News;  seven sisters, NiNi Cherry of Trenton, NJ, Ebony Cash of Westbury, CT, Chaundra Cherry of Aberdeen, Maryland, Candrea Cherry of Virginia, Ashia Cash of Westbury, CT, Quelisha Watkins and JaNajah Artis both of Suffolk, VA; three brothers, QuaShawn House, Jahkeim Artis both of Suffolk, VA and Charles Cash of Westbury, CT; grandfathers, Norris Manley of Newport News, VA and Henry Artis of Suffolk, VA; six aunts, Alice Hamlin, Brenda House, Patricia Manley and Sharon Draughan (Ricky) all of Newport News, VA, Margie Manley of Suffolk, VA and Marion Claggett (Larry) of Windsor, VA; five uncles, Henry Artis, Terrell Artis, DeShawn Artis, Brandon (BB) Artis, Jesse Artis all of Suffolk, VA; five great aunts, Marion Jackson, Rev. Eula Marshall, Ester Norman all of Newport News, VA, Ledora Cotton of Birmingham, Al, and Shelia Manley of Suffolk, VA; great uncle, Tony Manley of Williamsburg, VA; five God sisters, Latoya Jones, Ebony Jones, Latwanna Jones, Shakira Lewis, and Shantera Lewis; three Godbrothers, Demetrius Jones, Darius Jones and Elginard Jones all of Suffolk, VA. A host of Cousins and friends. Viewing will be held 9a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, November 24, 2016 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. A celebration of life will be held 12:00 noon Friday, November 25, 2016 at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 2635 E. Washington, Street, Suffolk, VA 23434. The eulogy will be delivered by Rev. Sylvia Murphy.
