William "Junie" Robertson, Jr.

William Robertson, Jr. was born on December 23, 1958, in Suffolk VA, the second of four children born to the late William Robertson, Sr. and Jennie Mae Robertson. William was known as Junie, slipped away suddenly on Friday, October 14, 2016 in Sentara Obici Memorial Hospital.Junie attended John F. Kennedy High School of Suffolk, VA. He then enlisted in the United States Army where he served 8 years active duty and was honorably discharged. Junie was employed at Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a pipefitter where he retired. He was predeceased by his father, William Robertson, Sr.Junie leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother Jennie Mae Robertson, one sister Wanda (Nathaniel) Cross of Newport News, VA; two brothers, Neal A. Robertson, Sr. (Sharon) of Albany Georgia and Jeffery Robertson of Berlin, Germany; his son, William Robertson, III (Tashella) and his daughter; LaShannon Todd (Michael) of Hampton, VA and 8 grandchildren a host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends.A celebration of life will be held noon Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 125 County Street, Suffolk, Virginia.
