Elnora Hinton Nicholson

Elnora Hinton Nicholson, 82, of Centerbrooke Lane, Suffolk, VA transitioned on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at her residence. She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Beluh Hill and Noah Hinton. She was preceded in death by her sister, Doritha Fields and brother, Arcelious “Sonny Boy” Hinton. She was a graduate of East Suffolk High School and attended Maryland State College. She was Employed at Portsmouth Naval Hospital and retired after 20 years of services as a Statistical Clerk. She was a member of Grove Church, Member of the NAACP and a Member of Star of Sharon. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Howard L. Nicholson, Sr; daughter, Darlene Gamble-Rollins; two sons, Howard L. Nicholson, Jr (Melvina) and LeNard T. Nicholson (Nicole); four graddaughters, Tamika Nicholson, Jennifer Gamble, Phylicia Sinclair and Lauryn Nicholson; two great-grandchildren. A service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2016 in the Carver Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum.
