Percy Lewis Arrington,62, of Catina Way, Newport News, Virginia transitioned on Saturday, September 10,2016 at his residence. He was a native of Suffolk and the son of Raymond Wright and the late Christine V. Butts Arrington. He was preceded in death by his grandson Traevis Smith and brother, Sylvester Arrington He worked as a Forklift Driver for Allied Storage Company in Newport News, VA for ten years and was a member of First Baptist Church Orlando. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Alice Jeanette Arrington of Newport News, VA; three daughters, Monifa Smith of Newport News, VA, Caley Smith and Nicole Smith both of Suffolk, VA; one son, Percy Lewis Arrington, Jr of Newport News, VA; three stepsons, Montie Norman of Suffolk, VA, Jerome Norman, Abdullah Norman both of Newport News, VA;  three sisters, Donna Arrington of Suffolk, VA, Faye Arrington (Cook) of Portsmouth, VA and Beth Arrington of Newport News, VA; seven brothers, Lester Arrington (Teresa), Wesley Arrington (Bettina), Victor Arrington and Carter Arrington (Sandra) all of Suffolk, VA, Ronald Arrington of Richmond, VA, Sylvester Joyner (Tonya) of Compton, CA and Herbert Jones of Norfolk, VA: mother-in-law, Margie Norman; brothers-in-law, Michael Norman of Suffolk, VA and Elton Powell (Bola) of New Jersey; sisters-in-law, Malinda Norman, Tonya Norman both of Newport News, VA, Anita Goings of Hampton, VA and Donnika Norman of Newport News, VA; four grandchildren, Zarria Norman, Dirus Smith, Ramonta Smith all of Newport News, Va, Ramon Smith, Montie Norman, Jr., Montee Norman all of Suffolk, VA; one great-grandchild, London Smith of Suffolk,VA; uncle, Floyd Butts of Suffolk, VA; three aunts, Joyce Butts of Philadelphia, PA, Regina Butts of Norfolk, VA and Alice Daniels of Suffolk, VA. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016 at First Baptist Church Orlando, 600 Factory Street, Suffolk, VA. Rev. Moses Ware will deliver the eulogy. He will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive guest at 1425 Pinto Court, Suffolk. Condolences to the Arrington family may be extended to www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
