Mrs. Addie J. Wilson peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. in her home after a brief illness.She was a native of Nansemond County and daughter of the late Edward and Cassie Tate Jones. Her husband, Ralph Wilson, three sisters, Lilliam Alston, Arthalia Brown, Pecola Porter, and one brother, Louis Jones preceded her in death.She was a member of Saint Paul Baptist Church where she served on the Senior Usher Board and was a member of Saint Paul Baptist Church where she served on the Senior Usher Board and was a member of the Daughters of Saint Paul.Although she was given medical aid and care, Heavenly Father's will must be done, for this is not our abiding place; and we bow in humble submission to his will for he does all things well.She leaves to cherish her memories a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and friends.A visitation with family will be held 6-7 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2016 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. A celebration of life will be held 12:00 noon Friday, August 5, 2016 at St. Paul Baptist Church. She will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
