Early Thursday morning, July 21, 2016 our loving brother and caring friend William Johnson was called home to be with the Lord.Affectionately known as Bittie Johnson to his family and friends. William was born May 24, 1941 in Cincinnati, OhioWilliam "Bittie" Johnson was the 1st born to Anna and Joseph Johnson, which made him a born leader. He was a big brother to six young brothers and one baby sister and a true friend to many. For those of you who don't know William was known to his grandmother as "Bittielitter". William served thirty years in the United Sates Navy which took his tours to Vietnam. He loved the Navy, he achieved his goal to become a Senior Chief Petty Officer. William "Bittie" Johnson loved life and loved his family. He will be truly missed "say no more".William was preceded in death by his mother Anna G. Pollard; father, Joseph Johnson; his loving wife Helen Johnson; three brothers, Frank Johnson, Renee Pollard and Kenneth Johnson; sister, Diane Johnson. William leaves to cherish his memories four brothers, Henry J. Pollard, Joseph Clark, Robert Johnson and Lee Johnson; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren; six sisters-in-law and a host of friends.A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2016 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
