Norris Windell Langston

Norris Wendell Langston, 59 of Portsmouth, VA transitioned Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA. He was a native of Nansemond County and the son of McCoy Langston and Corean Richardson Langston. He attended John F. Kennedy High School. Norris was employed with Royal Chevrolet. He was a member of Hungary Road Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Tarmeka West of Hampton, VA and Jenee Langston of Richmond, VA; three step daughters; four sisters, Shirley Hicks (Whitman) of Portsmouth, VA, Doris Cheeks of Suffolk, VA, Annette Langston-Sumler (Larry) of Virginia Beach, VA and Terry Langston of Chesapeake, VA; one brother, Johnnie Langston (Jackie) of Suffolk, VA; one grandchild, Kalaya Langston; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Oak Grove Baptist Church officiated by Minister Sylvia Murphy. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
