Jasmine Renee Edwards

Jasmine Renee Edwards 25 transitioned Friday June 3, 2016 at Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center, Portsmouth, VA. She was a native of Suffolk, VA and the daughter of Rufus Bailey (Tamiko) and the late Stephanie Bailey. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Evangeline Edwards, Fitzhugh L. Edwards, Spencer Bailey, Jr, Haywood Jones and Phillip Dildy, Sr. She was a graduate of Churchland High School. Jasmine was employed at the Walmart in Chesapeake. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving son, Bryson Edwards; two sisters, Tenisha Miller of Chesapeake, VA and TKai Bailey of Portsmouth, VA; three brothers, LeShawn Demiel of Suffolk, Shaquan Miller of Chesapeake, VA and Kalil Bailey of Portsmouth, VA; maternal grandfather, Wesley Mozell (Otelia); paternal grandmother, Beulah Bailey of Suffolk; step grandparents, Gloria Beale (Anthony) and George Jones (Gayle) both of Suffolk; great step grandmothers, Virginia Dildy  and Pearlie Mae Scott both of Suffolk; godfather, Bruce Richardson; a devoted friend, Dajuan Allen; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and friends. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016 at New Mt. Joy Food for Living Ministries. Interment will be in Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. A wake will be held on Friday, June 10 at Crocker Funeral Home from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
