Dorothy Mae Cross

Dorothy Mae Cross, 69 of 1111 Lake Kennedy Drive, Suffolk, VA transitioned Sunday, May 22, 2016 at her resident. She was a native of Gates, NC and the daughter of the late Raymond Ralph and Ruby Lee Woolford. She retired from the food service department with Suffolk Public Schools. Ms. Cross was a member of Greater Sweet Beulah Church. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, George E. Cross, Jr.; one son, Shaun Cross, R. of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Brenda Miz of Cambridge, MD and Judy Jordan of Suffolk, VA; four grandchildren; brothers, Leroy Ralph of Cambridge, MD, Tyrone Ralph of Newport News, VA and Michael Jordan of AL; one niece, Katrina Cornish of Cambridge, MD; two nephews, Duane Ralph and Leroy Ralph, Jr. of Cambridge, MD; other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Greater Sweet Beulah Holiness Church officiated by Suffragan Bishop Madison G. Copeland. Interment will be in Albert G. Horton Memorial Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, May 27 from 7 – 8:00 p.m. at the Crocker Funeral Home.
