Billy Sherman Walker

Born August 23, 1954 in Corapeake, NC transitioned suddenly at his home on Wednesday, May 11, 2016. He was the son of the late Cleophus and Gladys Walker. He was preceded in death by his sisters Doris Walker, Cleo Sturdivant and brother James Johnson. He was educated in the NC school system and later went on to attend Paul D. Camp Community College in Franklin, VA. he worked for many years as an HVAC technician for BAE System in Norfolk, VA.He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Ashley Walker, Suffolk, VA; sons, Jaret Walker of Suffolk, Alfred Lewis of Suffolk, and Mills of Whaleyville, VA; four sisters, Ruby Skeeter of Portsmouth, Phyllis Cross (Thomas) of Suffolk, Teresa Aggrey-Fynn and Sylvia Walker (Camden) of Wyoming; four brothers, Willie Johnson (Velma) of Smithfield, George Johnson (Sheila) of Irvington, NJ, Clifton Walker (Deborah) and William Walker of Suffolk along with a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Along with a special friend Laverne Porter.A celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2016 at New Calvary Baptist Church by Rev. Roger Green. He will be laid to rest in Albert G.
