Clara Bell Davis

Clara Bell Davis, 71 of Broadwater Road, Ivor, VA died Monday, March 21, 2016 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Surry, VA and the daughter of the late John Henry Wynn and Luella Clara Wynn. She retired from Smithfield Packing Company after 37 years of service. She was a member of MARS Hill AME Zion Church where she was the Sunday School Secretary, Financial church secretary, Assistant President of the Gospel Choir, and Choir Director for the Male Choir. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, John Henry Davis; one daughter, Clara Theresa Sears (Anthony) of Holly Springs, NC; one son, Tyrone Lamont Clary (Kim) of South Carolina; four sisters, Mary Ann Binns (Joseph Lee) of Ivor, VA, Ethel Jean Holloway (William) of Ivor, Diann Marie Collins (Steve) of New York and Mildred Deloris Gwaltney (Bobby) of Wakefield, VA; one brother, William Henry Wynn, Jr. (Christine) of Newport News, VA; four grandchildren; other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Gilfield Baptist Church, Ivor officiated by Rev. Kenneth Zollicofer. Interment will be in Booker T.
